Support for those recovering from or caring for someone with an eating disorder.
"When we deny our story, it defines us. When we own our story, we can write a brave new ending." ~ Brene Brown
Eating Disorders Australia was born out of a desire to see carers not just survive, but thrive! Carers play an invaluable role in the life and recovery of someone experiencing an eating disorder. However, for them to survive the journey and ultimately thrive while it's happening, we believe they need to be supported and up-skilled.
Here at Eating Disorders Australia, we believe that recovery is possible and it can be better than the heartbreaking experience we are often told it will be. For carers to feel supported, confident and energised for their role, we want to help them learn, grow and figure out the best way forward for themselves and their loved one. We also place value on the importance of carers caring for themselves and having their own support to turn to when they need it.
